Chairman David Mambu of the Redding Chapter of the SLPP UK & Ireland delegation on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the party’s National Headquarters in Freetown, where he met with National Chairman Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa and members of his executive.

The visit was aimed at congratulating the chairman and his team for what the delegation described as “successful leadership and transformative efforts” since assuming office.

During the engagement, the delegation reaffirmed its unwavering confidence, trust, and loyalty to Chairman Songa, commending his open-door policy and ongoing efforts to unify the party ahead of future elections. They also pledged their full support and readiness to serve the Sierra Leone People’s Party whenever called upon.

In response, Chairman Songa warmly welcomed the delegation, reflecting on their shared political journey and the challenges they have collectively overcome over the years. He urged members of the diaspora chapter to maintain unity and remain committed to the ideals of the party.

He further encouraged continued faith in both the party and President Julius Maada Bio, stressing the importance of cohesion and loyalty as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.

Chairman Songa emphasised that sustained unity, collective effort, and belief in the party’s vision would be key to securing future electoral success.
