The British High Commission in Sierra Leone has launched a public appeal to locate a missing cat, offering a substantial cash reward to anyone who can secure its safe return.
According to a public “LOST” notice made available to Sierraloaded, the diplomatic mission is offering a reward of SLE 3,000.
The poster, which has been affixed to local concrete utility poles, features a large, close-up photograph of the missing pet. The animal appears to be a domestic shorthair tabby cat with distinct dark facial stripes and light-colored eyes.

The printed flyer formally attributes the search and the reward money to the “British High Commission.” At the bottom of the poster, two local mobile phone numbers have been handwritten in thick black marker for the public to reach out with any leads.
