Sierra Leonean forward Ali Conteh delivered a sensational second-half performance, scoring twice and providing an assist as FC Inter Turku came from two goals down to defeat AC Oulu 3-2 in Finland’s Veikkausliiga on Saturday.
Conteh, popularly known as Ezozi, endured a relatively quiet first half as AC Oulu took a 2-0 lead before the break. However, the forward returned after halftime determined to change the course of the match.
The Sierra Leone international pulled one goal back early in the second half before setting up Inter Turku’s equaliser as the home side mounted a dramatic comeback.
Conteh then completed the turnaround with his second goal of the game, securing all three points for Inter Turku and capping a standout individual display.
Inter Turku confirmed the final result and Conteh’s impressive statistics in its post-match report, recording two goals and one assist for the forward.
The performance further underlines Conteh’s growing importance to Inter Turku, with the forward continuing to make significant contributions in Finland’s top division through both his goalscoring and creative play.
His pace, direct running and attacking confidence have established him as one of the club’s key attacking outlets this season.
The victory also provides a boost to Inter Turku’s position in the Veikkausliiga standings as the club targets a strong finish to the campaign.
For Conteh, the three-goal contribution adds another standout performance to an increasingly productive season and could further increase attention on his progress as he continues to develop his career in European football.
