The National Revenue Authority (NRA) has welcomed its new leadership following the presidential appointment of Mr. Abu Martin Kanneh as Commissioner General of the Authority.
According to the NRA, Mr. Kanneh brings extensive experience in public and revenue administration to his new role. He joined the National Revenue Authority in 2004 as a Collector and rose through the ranks.
He subsequently served as Commissioner of the Customs Services Department before becoming Senior Director of the Staff Welfare Department.

As Commissioner of Customs Services, Mr. Kanneh provided strategic leadership in the administration and collection of customs duties, supervised border control and management operations, and supported trade facilitation initiatives aimed at promoting compliance and enhancing revenue mobilization.
The NRA said his appointment comes at a significant time for the Authority as it continues efforts to strengthen domestic revenue mobilization, improve taxpayer services, enhance compliance, and promote efficient and transparent revenue administration.
The National Revenue Authority extended its warm congratulations to Mr. Kanneh on his appointment and pledged its full support as he assumes leadership of the institution.
