President Bio Visits Farm With Finance Minister Kargbo – What Message Is He Sending to The SLPP?

President Julius Maada Bio has visited his farm in Mafintha Village along the Masiaka Highway, accompanied by newly appointed Minister of Finance, Karefa Kargbo, in a move that has generated political discussion within the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP).

The visit is reportedly the second weekend trip President Bio has undertaken with Minister Kargbo since his appointment to the Finance Ministry. The repeated public association between the two has prompted questions among political observers about the nature and significance of their growing relationship.

Earlier in August, President Bio and Karefa Kargbo shared some light-hearted and memorable moments during a visit to Tihun. The President was in Tihun with the children when Karefa Kargbo joined them, creating an opportunity for the group to relax, bond and enjoy some spontaneous moments together. Reflecting on the experience, President Bio described the occasion as one filled with fun and wonderful memories.

During the latest farm visit, President Bio highlighted developments in his livestock farming activities, using the occasion to showcase progress at the farm.
