The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has provided a total of US$200,000 to the Men’s Premier League Board and Women’s Premier League Board to support preparations for the upcoming 2026/2027 league season.
Each board received US$100,000 to assist with their operational and administrative activities ahead of the commencement of the new season, which is scheduled to begin on 10 October 2026.
According to the SLFA, the financial support is aimed at helping both league boards strengthen their preparations and ensure a well-organised start to the new football season.
The Association, under the leadership of President Babadi Kamara, reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening domestic football and supporting the effective organisation of the country’s premier league competitions.
The SLFA also extended its best wishes to both league boards, participating clubs and other stakeholders as they continue preparations for the 2026/2027 season.
