Former Chief Minister, Professor David Francis, on Friday, 30 January 2026, presented Dell laptops to best-performing students of Holy Trinity School in Kenema who excelled in the recent Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Professor Francis, an alumnus of the school, expressed gratitude and pride as he reflected on the role Holy Trinity played in shaping his academic foundation.
“This is where it all started for me,” he said. “If you work hard and remain focused, there is no limit to how far you can go.”
He explained that the donation of laptops was intended to motivate students to take their studies seriously and strive for excellence, particularly in public examinations. Professor Francis also commended the teachers and school administrators for their commitment and sacrifices in nurturing students over the years.

The Principals of the Junior and Senior Secondary Schools welcomed the former minister and highlighted his longstanding support for the institution. They recalled his contributions to the school, including the provision of its first internet access, the establishment of a library, and the construction of a technical workshop, which they described as impactful and enduring.
The event concluded with students interacting with Professor Francis, drawing inspiration from his journey and achievements as a former student of the school.
