Madam Zainab Hawa Bangura has been recognized among the 100 most influential African women 2023 by AvanceMedia.

Madam Zainab dedicated her recognition to all women in Africa and Sierra Leone in particular who dares to dream big, defy expectations, and pave the way for a brighter future.

She stated that as they are been celebrated across Africa, they should also remember the countless number of women who are making a difference in their communities either big or small, adding that they should continue to amplify their voices, support their endeavors, and work together with them to create a world where all Aftucan women can thrive.

Madam Zainab over the years has served in reputable positions in Sierra Leone and internationally.

She was the former United Nations Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict and has also held different ministerial positions in Sierra Leone.
