Kono University of Science And Technology is set to start operations in January 2024 being a long dream by the people of the district.

The university is among the newly pronounced and vetted universities in Sierra Leone by the Sierra Leone parliament and the President H.E Julius Maada Bio in his first term in office.

The University will start lectures in January 2024 and forms are available at the Secretariat No. 2 Skuku Tamba Street, Ribar Hotel. The courses will be tailored around the Sciences and Technology.

Dr. Sama Mondeh will pioneer the program serving as Vice Chancellor and principal on a daily basis.

The chancellor is Honourable Justice Nyawo Jones, a legal luminary of our time, retired Supreme Court Judge who hails from Jaiama Nimikoro.
