After going through all the due processes, the team lead from the Sierra Leone Teaching Service Commission’s head office, Fatmata Alice Allen has announced Joseph Santigie Kamara and Alusine Koroma as the winners of the Presidential National Best Teacher Award for the Port Loko District.
This event took place on September 20 this year at the Teaching Service Commission’s office in Port Loko Town.
Kamara, a teacher at the Roman Catholic Primary School won with 45.42 percent for the Pre-primary and Primary category while Koroma from the Maforkie Agriculture Islamic Secondary School won with 59.28 percent for the JSS, SSS and the Tech Voc category.
These two winners have qualified to represent the district to the next stages at regional and national levels of the competition.
