A bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of popular Sierra Leonean musician and Entertainment Ambassador, Kao Denero, after he failed to appear in court on Monday to face charges related to alleged incitement and aggravated assault.

Kao Denero, born Amara Dennis Turay, was scheduled to appear before the Magistrate Court to respond to accusations stemming from an incident involving fellow artist Famous and his team.

The charges include alleged incitement and orchestrating a violent attack, which has been under legal scrutiny for several weeks.

According to court officials, Kao Denero submitted a medical excuse claiming he had been admitted to the 34 Military Hospital due to high blood pressure and later traveled to the United States for further medical treatment. However, the presiding magistrate ruled that the medical report provided was not only improperly filed but also lacked legal authenticity. The court dismissed the document as unacceptable.
