Sierra Leonean veteran and street rapper, Shadow Boxxer has openly crowned fellow rapper Kao Denero as the king of hip hop in the country.

“If it wasn’t for Kaodenero hip hop wouldn’t have been where it is currently,” Shadow Boxxer said in a widely circulated video on social media.

Although the two hip hoppers had had a beef in the past, the two were seen hugging each other with more chemistry than would have been predicted.

“There is a generation out there that you inspired that is gonna come after you and come after us but I want them to hear from me today that you are the reason hip hop is the way it is right now in Salone,” he said.

Fans of both stars have praised the camaraderie seen on stage between two of Sierra Leone’s finest stars in the hip hop genre.

Shadow Boxxer is considered one of the finest hip hoppers out there after gaining fame in his single hit “me yon rap”.

The star, a couple of years later had a beef with Kao Denero and soon released a diss song against him.

Shadow Boxxer is perhaps best known outside Sierra Leone for his single “confidential” featuring Hollywood actor and musician, Idris Elba and Nigerian star, D’banj.
