Cracking the Top 10 is the year’s undisputed breakout sensation, Legacy Boi. While many artists on this list worked from January to December to secure their spots, this Waterloo-bred prodigy proved that timing is everything, storming the scene in the fourth quarter to steal the show.
Legacy Boi introduced himself to the nation on October 31, 2025, with the release of “Money Necessary.” The track didn’t just drop; it exploded. Fueled by a catchy hook and rich production, it became an instant viral phenomenon on TikTok, with fans across the diaspora turning the song into a digital anthem. This social media frenzy quickly translated into hard numbers, accumulating millions of views and streams in record time.
But Legacy Boi isn’t just a TikTok trend; he is a performer with star power. His rapid rise caught the attention of major brands, landing him a promotional deal with 1XBET in November. He also proved he belongs in the big leagues by gracing the stage at Yemata’s “The Laughing Matter Show” at the Bintumani Conference Center, sharing the limelight with industry titans like K-Man, King Boss LAJ, and Alieu Melody.
His crowning moment of 2025, however, was his embrace by the highest office in the land. Legacy Boi performed his hit single alongside the First Lady, H.E.
