Sierra Leone’s multi-talented rapper, songwriter, and AYV Cypher Chief Judge, Emmanuel Saa Gandi, popularly known as Xzu-B, took to Facebook recently to share a heartfelt message about his journey to success in the music industry.

In a candid post, he revealed that despite possessing the intellectual acumen to excel in fields such as engineering, medicine, or architecture, he chose to pursue his true passion – music.

xzu-b, opened up about the pivotal decision he made to follow his heart and artistic inclinations. The post read,

Truth be told, I could have become a dope engineer, doctor, or architect, given my intelligence and educational path. However, I decided to listen to my heart, mind, and passion – music. God knows best.”

Xzu-B, a prominent figure in the Sierra Leonean music scene, has been actively involved in the music industry for almost a decade. Throughout his career, he has released three albums, namely the X album, Majesty album, and the recently launched GIFTED EP. Notably, he represents the rap group TROUBLEMAKERZ and serves as a spokesperson for AFRICAN YOUNG VOICES TELEVISION (AYV TV), the country’s most influential television network.

Xzu-B’s impact in the entertainment realm extends beyond his music career. He is also the host of the immensely popular reality television program, AYV CYPHER, which has garnered widespread attention in Sierra Leone.

Recognized on an international level, Xzu-B received mentions in various prestigious publications such as the BBC, where he was featured in an interview as part of THE BBC DOCUMENTARY (THISIS2018), as well as in BILLBOARD MAGAZINE and other media outlets.
