The Sierra Leone Ambassador for Entertainment, Kao Denero has expressed deep frustration at some members in the entertainment industry who use influence to bully others.
In a recent Facebook post shared late on Saturday night, Kao Denero discussed his decision to refrain from using his influence to intimidate or bully those who are innocent. He stressed on the importance of exercising power responsibly and with compassion.
“I see no sense in using cheap money to get innocent random boys arrested to please my pride and ego,” Kao Denero wrote on his Facebook page on Saturday night.
He continued by admonishing other entertainers to exercise similar restraint stressing that entertainers must have “integrity.”
Kao Denero’s backlash surfaced amid a court case levied against some close members of his squad by another artist, Famous. Famous is in court with two of Kao Denero’s associates over allegations of harming with intent.
Famous is in court with Amidu Sesay and Mohamed Hemon “Med Denero” Kargbo on criminal charges including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intimidation, disorderly behaviour and conspiracy to commit a crime.
According to the particulars of offence, Famous said the two men assaulted with pepper spray and threatened his life during a concert at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel in Aberdeen, Freetown.
Although Kao Denero didn’t quite state that the hint was for Famous, some fans in the entertainment community have already attributed the post to Famous.
Whether Famous would respond or not, that is uncertain. But if he does, we will bring it to you as well.
