Talented Sierra Leonean rapper and MC, Shoq-Boi, is reported to have passed away on Thursday, July 27th, 2023.

Former Sierra Leone Promoters Union (SLPU) president, Lam Sall, took to Twitter to express his sadness over the untimely demise of the talented upcoming MC, Shoq-Boi.

The news of ShoqBoi’s passing has sent shockwaves through the Sierra Leonean music community. Shoq-Boi, was highly regarded for his exceptional talent as a rapper and MC.

According to Lam Sall’s tweet, Shoq-Boi was not only a rising star but also an inspiration to fellow artists. Lam Sall reminisced about a collaborative song they recorded in 2018, which featured Shoq-Boi alongside his label mates Sj Vinco, Sapz, and Mus B. The track titled “OK” was anticipated to make waves in the music scene, but unfortunately, it never saw the light of day.

Among Shoq-Boi’s notable works was the popular song “3rd World Veteran,” Trinitee Rap Collaboration, showcasing his lyrical prowess and distinctive style. Another track titled “I’m Still Here” and “Blow It”
