Steady and focused, meet a man who has defile the odds to make an impactful change to his society and humanity through words. One can say, words carries power and surely the heart of the writer.
Augustine is a one-time President of Fourah Bay College, a writer, Public Speaker, Poet, influencer, social mobilizer and a youth leader.
Augustine had a difficult upbringing as he described his childhood in one of his poems as a path so crucial and fiercely unbearable for many. His house was in great lack, but his heart was in abundant wealth and power as his determined soul was able to transform those stories into strength and motivation. He did not allow his background to defy his determination to succeed.
In 2020, During his reign as a Student Union President at Fourah Bay College, he was able to facilitate the installation of solar lights on Campus, and the signing of an MOU with the Ministry of Transport to allocate buses to the university once the procured buses of the Government of Sierra Leone arrive in the country.
Bona is well-known for his oratory dexterities and penmanship prowess, which gave him an opportunity to moderate a panel discussion and provoked an interesting conversation and debate between Mr. IB Kebe (Senior Lecturer at IPAM) and Mr. Salieu Sesay (Communications Person for UBA) on the relevance of Entrepreneurship to young people and national development, in the presence of a youthful audience.
Augustine introduced the idea of having a sustainable mentorship programme to provide academic leadership and career guidance, advice counselling and support to Students based on firm criteria formulated.
Bona has progressed steadily in the field of the Legal profession, having gone through the rigors of Fourah Bay College Law department, he is currently set to enter the Sierra Leone Law School for him to be called to the Bar.
