Our man crush for today is David Gerald Turner.

Turner is a pragmatic young man with an indelible passion for academia, sport and entertainment.

Turner was a member of the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation’s (SLBC) Children Broadcasting Network and appeared several times to discuss issues affecting children and young people.

Starting his education at the United Methodist Church Primary School at Brookfields in Freetown, David attended Albert Academy Secondary School, before proceeding to Fourah Bay College for his tertiary education where he earned an Honours Degree in Mass Communication.

His thirsty for advanced education led him to pursue another degree in a different course. He went ahead to study Law in Fourah Bay, which he is currently rounding up on.

David’s passion for writing and expression has led him to author several poem and is currently working a novel.

His dedication, selflessness and hardwork has made him valuable to many organizations and groups. Currently, he is the current Public Relations Officer of the FBC Law Society. He is also the Head of Media and Administrative Secretary at the Western Area Football Association (WAFA).

For a visionary like David Turner, it is not until there is so much resources and time that you need to build, you can build with the little you have and make a difference. With this, he founded Sweetness Salone – an Entertainment Brand and Platform in Sierra Leone, where he is also the Chief Executive Officer.

His works and little beginnings are been recognized. He was awarded 2017/18 Madrugar FBC Most Outstanding Academic and 2018 Best Essayist Award by the Sierra Leone Debating Council.
