The Holy Spirit Hospital in Masuba, Makeni, Northern Sierra Leone has announced free consultations and surgery for traumatology and orthopaedic patients.
The hospital announced that the free offer will start on Monday February 10 and will on March 3, 2025 with Professor Brunno Panno from Italy leading a team of specialists from Italy.
“They will perform surgeries on people with bone marrow problem (accident related or otherwise),” the hospital said.
They added that registration for the free offer will start on February 10 at 8 in the morning.
The hospital stated that they prioritise patients registered or seen by surgeons last year.
The Holy Spirit Hospital in Masuba is run by the Catholic Mission in Makeni and has been provided medical care for people in rural Sierra Leone and other hard-to-reach communities in the country.
Sierra Leone is currently facing a critical shortage of medical specialists, prompting calls for local residents to take advantage of available opportunities in the healthcare field before they diminish.
Congratulations to the medical directors for their participation.
