The Government of Sierra Leone has reported 75 new confirmed cases of Mpox in its latest health update, bringing the cumulative total to 2,634 cases since the outbreak began.
The report, released on Sunday, May 18, 2025 also noted no new recovery, signaling the severity of Mpox in the country.
The report futher confirmed a total of 14 deaths, and 1,992 active cases since the phase of the outbreak disease.
While the update did not specify district-level breakdowns for the new cases, previous reports highlighted Bonthe, Karene, Kono, Kenema, and other regions as affected areas.
