In fulfillment of a promise made during her distribution of geometry sets and other learning materials before the start of this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), Evelyn Watta Moijueh has given educational support worth thousand of leones to 12 best-performing BECE candidates in Daru, Jawie Chiefdom in the Kailahun district.
Fiscal cash, school bags, customized exercise books, Geometry sets, packets of pencils and pens, dictionaries, scientific calculators, and many more, were among the list of items that were given to the pupils from Jawie Ahmadiyya, St. Peters, Provincial, and Wallace Agricultural Secondary Schools.
During the presentation in the presence of stakeholders, the M. P hopeful lauded president Bio for his introduction of the Free Quality School Education.
She said the radical inclusion has brought back many early school leavers to schools in the constituency.
Watta informed that for the success of the scheme, all hands should be put on deck.
She praised the pupils for their outstanding performances at the examination.
She admonished them to continue the hard work at the senior secondary level and to also desist from early marriage or sexual intercourse.
The stakeholders, beneficiaries, and their parents gratified Watta for such gestures.
