Abdul M. Fatoma, Chief Executive of the Campaign for Human Rights and Development International (CHRDI), is in Spain to participate in the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Global Summit, co-organised by the Spanish government and OGP.

Fatoma, a prominent international advocate for social justice, human rights, and the rule of law, will join a high-level panel on open justice, which includes a Supreme Court Justice and a Deputy Chief Justice from South Africa.

Recognized as one of Sierra Leone’s leading human rights and justice advocates, Fatoma uses his civil society role to promote social change both nationally and internationally. His participation at the summit provides an opportunity to engage with global experts on transparency, accountability, and open governance.

As a seasoned advocate for social justice, human rights, and the rule of law, Fatoma will join a high-level panel discussion on open justice, alongside a Supreme Court Justice and a Deputy Chief Justice from South Africa. The OGP Global Summit is a premier event that convenes over 2,000 government officials, civil society leaders, and policymakers from around the world. Participants exchange experiences, best practices, and progress on open government initiatives, focusing on key issues such as anti-corruption, civic engagement, and the use of technology in governance. This year’s summit emphasizes themes like artificial intelligence, climate change, and the energy transition, reflecting the evolving challenges in open governance.
