The All People’s Congress (APC) Southern Region Project Management Team has announced plans to publicly release the names of individuals and stakeholders who made pledges for the construction of the APC Southern Region Party Headquarters but have yet to fulfill them. The public disclosure is scheduled for 4th February 2026.

The move, according to the team, is aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability, as well as keeping party members and the general public accurately informed about the level of commitment towards the project.

The team stressed that many within the party, both within and outside the region, believe these pledges have already been fulfilled, which makes it necessary to clarify the actual status of the contributions.

In a statement issued on 23rd January 2026, the Project Management Team, led by Mulku Suliaman Kargbo as the Project Manager, explained that the names of both those who have fulfilled their pledges and those who have not will be made public next month.

This move comes after a significant number of pledgers have failed to honor their commitments, leaving the project at a standstill despite earlier enthusiasm.

The Southern Region APC held a fundraising event on 16th November 2024 at Dohas Hotel in Bo, where numerous party members and stakeholders made heartfelt pledges in support of the construction of the new party office. This was followed by a sod-turning ceremony on 3rd May 2025 at Kanga Road, along the Bo-Kenema Highway, marking the official start of the project.

Despite the excitement and promises from the event, the construction project has faced delays, with many contributors failing to meet their pledges. The Project Management Team has now deemed it necessary to publish the names of the pledgers to ensure the public is aware of the current status of the project.

The statement from the Project Management Team further encouraged party members and stakeholders seeking more information or clarification to reach out to the Regional Chairperson, Haja Isatu Bah Kamara, or the Regional Treasurer, Isha Vivian Turay Jah.
