The intensified fight against the sale and distribution of Kush in the Tankoro Division has recorded another major breakthrough following the arrest of a notorious drug dealer and two of his alleged associates.
Security personnel, acting on sustained intelligence, tracked and arrested the suspect popularly known as Black Gate at his hideout an operation authorities have described as a significant step in efforts to curb the flow of illicit drugs in the region.
Following his arrest, officers immediately launched a follow-up cleanup operation targeting individuals believed to have fled the scene during the initial raid. The operation paid off on Friday, 21st November 2025, when two suspected accomplices were arrested at separate locations within Koidu City.

The suspects have been identified as Hawa Moigua, a resident of the Resettlement community, and Kadiatu Gborie, from the Jericho area. According to police sources, Hawa was allegedly found in possession of substances believed to be Kush, which she reportedly obtained from Kadiatu.
Both women are currently in police custody assisting investigators, as the crackdown on drug trafficking networks continues.
Authorities say the operation remains active, with ongoing efforts to trace and dismantle all individuals and groups linked to Kush distribution within Tankoro and its surrounding communities.

Security forces have reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining pressure on drug dealers and protecting residents from the growing threat posed by substance abuse.
