As the 2023 General Election draws closer, Bo District Youths Association has on Monday 20th February 2023 launched a non-violence campaign in Bo at the Methodist Youth Resource Center with the theme “Engaging the Youths on Election Violence.”

Executive Director Bo District Youths Association, Yahaya Abubakarr Sheriff said the organization was formed in 2021 to ensure youths are not marginalized but that their voices are heard.

He started the youth are vulnerable when it comes to perpetrating violence which made the association to embark on non-violent message to youths before, during, and after the election.

He further that if politicians would never use their children to perpetrate violence, youths should always be ready to reject violence-induced proposals when approached.

He concluded by stating the youths should engage in productive and positive activities that will benefit their families, community, and the country as a whole.
