The Chief Justice of Sierra Leone, Komba Kamanda, has formally welcomed three senior members of the Judiciary following their successful completion of an intensive “Legal Elites” seminar in China.
The specialized training, held at the Academy for International Business Officials under the Ministry of Commerce of China, was facilitated through collaboration between the Judiciary of Sierra Leone and the Chinese Embassy in Freetown.
The one-month program focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of the intersection between domestic legal systems and the global economy.
During a welcoming ceremony at his chambers, Chief Justice Kamanda commended the officials for their dedication and noted that they returned with recognized certifications. He stressed that continuous professional development remains central to ongoing judicial reforms.
“Our goal is to produce professionals who possess not only legal expertise but also the international business acumen required to operate in today’s rapidly evolving economic landscape,” he stated.
The initiative is seen as part of broader efforts to enhance capacity within the Judiciary, equipping personnel with the skills needed to address modern commercial and legal challenges.
