The European Union mission in Sierra Leone together with their UNIDO/WACOMP-SL funded project is set to improve the lives of farmers in the Waiima Community, Kono District.
They recently visited the community to access the cocoa farms that are meant for the use of the farmers’ training site.
These farms are accessed for better production of produces that will equip the lives and livelihoods of the citizens of that part of the country.
The training according to them will be structured at improving the farmers and the farming communities in the district and the country at large.
The team met with the community people through the Yormata Cooperative which works to bring together different farmers on a single accord to better production.
The discussion progressed through the development of the farmer coaching initiative which may be a sustainable one, according to them.
