Freetown Terminal has taken a significant step to enhance education in a local seaside community by donating much-needed school materials to children worth thousands of Leones.
This initiative underscores the company’s dedication to fostering education and empowering young learners.
The donation package included essential school supplies such as exercise books, pens, pencils, erasers, and school bags, providing children with the tools they need to thrive academically. This effort is part of Freetown Terminal’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy aimed at improving the quality of life in the communities it serves.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, a representative from Freetown Terminal stated, “Education is a key driver of sustainable development, and we are committed to supporting young minds in their pursuit of knowledge. We are proud to play a role in shaping the future of these children by equipping them with the resources they need to succeed” said the Regional Managing Director Captain Fabjanko Kokan.

Chairman Seaside Community,Lamin Koroma appreciates the work and donations done by AGL as it has been a continuous support that has been beneficial for not only school children but also university students.
General Manager for AGL, Maroun Abi Aad also stated that they like to invest education as it is a long term investment that needs greater attention adding that all their support is basically focusing on education therefore calling on other institution to invest more on it.
One of the beneficiaries, from Yakala , Koinadugu district Peter Bayuku Konteh commended the support given as it will help lessen the burden on parent and give support to teachers to do their work effectively without disruption.
