The Halis Angel Network has donated essential learning materials to two primary schools in Pujehun Town as part of efforts to support vulnerable children and enhance access to quality education.
The donation exercise, on Wednesday 22nd October 2025 benefited a total of 80 pupils 40 boys from Holy Family R.C. Boys Primary School and 40 girls from Holy Rosary Primary School.
Speaking to our correspondent, one of the organization’s founders, Anthony Fortune, said the initiative forms part of Halis Angel Network’s ongoing mission to equip young learners with the tools they need to thrive academically.
He noted that the support addresses challenges faced by pupils due to a lack of adequate learning resources and is expected to improve classroom participation while enhancing teachers’ ability to deliver lessons effectively.
“This initiative is a continuation of our commitment to supporting education and human capital development in Pujehun District,” Fortune explained. “We believe that when children are equipped with the right learning tools, their potential becomes limitless.”
Fortune further highlighted that Halis Angel Network is a charitable organization dedicated to improving the welfare of vulnerable and underprivileged children through education, agriculture, and community development programs.
He urged school authorities, teachers, parents, and community members to ensure the materials are used effectively and for their intended purpose.
“The goal is not just to donate but to create a lasting impact,” he said. “We want these materials to truly make a difference in the learning experiences of the children.”
The Headmistress of Holy Family R.C. Boys Primary School, Hawa Bay Swaray, expressed heartfelt appreciation, describing the gesture as both “timely and meaningful.”
“This support comes at a crucial time when schools are striving to improve learning outcomes despite limited resources,” she said. “We are deeply grateful to Halis Angel Network for their compassion and commitment to education.” Swaray also encouraged other organizations and individuals to emulate the initiative by supporting children’s educational advancement.
The donated items included textbooks, pens, pencils, sharpeners, and erasers.
