In a successful anti-drug operation, the Harbour Police Division’s Operation Team, led by CSP Emmanuel Kpulun, conducted raids on Race Course Road on Thursday, July 11th, 2024.

The intelligence-driven operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects: Alie Daramy and Mohamed Tholley.

Daramy, residing at 23 Race Course Road, was found in possession of 100 wraps of a substance suspected to be Kush, along with a processing machine and a scale, suggesting potential drug production. Tholley, residing at No. 7 Race Course Road, was apprehended with 61 wraps of the same suspected substance.

The following day, the team continued their efforts, arresting Hawanatu Momoh Kargbo from 52 Peace Market, Ferry Junction. Kargbo was caught with 139 wraps of the suspected Kush.

These arrests were met with praise from the local communities. Residents applauded the strategic and effective raids led by Inspector Alpha Umarr Jalloh, nicknamed “Scorpion,” and pledged their continued support in providing information to combat the “Kush menace.”

All suspects and seized materials have been transferred to the Harbour Police Division’s Criminal Investigations Department for further investigation. This operation demonstrates the Harbour Police’s commitment to tackling drug trafficking and promoting public safety within Freetown.
