After he allegedly duped Sheik Musa Kamara the sum of Le7 million, Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker on Monday 14th March 2022 remanded Sufiari Mansaray, a student of Quest International University, Malaysia at the Male Correctional Facility on Pademba Road in Freetown.

The accused was arraigned on a count of obtaining money by false pretenses contrary to Section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act, 1916, after police alleged that on a date between 6th and 31st January 2022, at No. 92 Circular Road, Freetown, obtained the sum of seven million eight hundred thousand Leones from Sheik Musa Kamara by falsely pretending to assist Mohamed Lamin Kamara to study online course on cyber security and information technology, which is known to be false.

In other file, the same accused appeared before the same Court and Magistrate, over allegation of obtaining fifteen million five hundred and fifty thousand Leones from Ahmed Kamara with the pretext of facilitating the travel of his son Abdul Kamara to Canada which is known to be false.

The accused person was not represented by a lawyer.

Deputy Superintendent Sorie Conteh and Sub Inspector Jk Songo are Prosecuted the matter. Witnesses are yet to testify in the matter. However, Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker remanded the accused and he adjourned the matter.
