A group of Imams in Thunder Hill, a settlement in Freetown city, Sierra Leone, have organized a protest against homosexuality within their community.

A video circulating on social media shows them marching through the streets, carrying placards with the inscription, “No to Homosexuality in Sierra Leone.”

The presumed leader of the group expressed their concerns, stating that the youth in the community are attempting to normalize homosexual behavior, which they find unacceptable according to the teachings of the holy Quran. As they walked, they also chanted the phrase “Alhukbarr.”

“Our fellow brothers in this community (Thunder Hill) want to legalize homosexuality. We will not tolerate this. We must unite against it. As Muslims, let us come together in this fight. We cannot allow homosexuality in our country, especially in Thunder Hill. If individuals wish to engage in such acts, they are free to do so in other locations, but not here,” he declared.
