Pradeep Tilwani, an Indian national and former sales manager, has been committed to the High Court for trial on charges of embezzling over Le 2.4 million.

Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1 issued the committal order after ruling that the prosecution had established sufficient grounds for the case to proceed to the higher court.

The Charges Tilwani faces a charge of embezzlement contrary to Section 17(1)(b) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

Prosecutors allege that between September and November 2025, while employed as a sales manager at J.B. Enterprises in Makeni, Tilwani fraudulently embezzled property valued at Le 2,439,465. The property reportedly belonged to Yerroh Enterprise but was in the custody of J.B. Enterprises at their premises on Magburaka Road, Makeni.

Court Proceedings When the charges were read to the defendant, no plea was taken, as the preliminary investigation determines only if there is a case to answer.

The prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police Ibrahim S. Mansaray, presented witnesses and served relevant evidentiary documents to the defence before closing the prosecution’s case.

After reviewing the evidence, Magistrate Jah stated there was a case to answer and committed the matter to the High Court. Tilwani was denied bail and remanded in custody pending his appearance at the High Court.
