Non govermental oragnisraion, Integrated Development Program for Teenagers (IDP4T) has today, 13th February 2023 engaged female pupils of Vine Memorial School on the necessity of tracking their menstrual cycle.
The engagement is part of their continued tour to schools in Freetown.
The CEO of IDP4T, Madam Veronica Fannah, talked to the pupils about her book Introduction of the Menstrual Cycle Tracker and how girls should take personal responsibility for taking care of their menstrual period.
“Girls should be proud of their periods and not be ashamed of it. You have to understand your body and know how it works,” she said.
Pupils of Vine Memorial School asked so many questions with regard to menstruation and they were adequately addressed. They expressed appreciation for the visitation by Integrated Development Program for Teenagers and hope that the organization will continue to engage them on matters relating to them.
