Former President of the Sierra Leone Football Association celebrated her birthday by gifting newborns and birthmates at the Princess Christian Maternity Hospital (PCMH) on Fourah Bay Road in Freetown.

For several years now, the FIFA Council member has shown unwavering commitment by continuously helping at the same hospital, demonstrating a deep compassion for those in need.

“It is a tradition that she does every year since she was born at the same hospital,” Pascal Johansen, who represented his mother Isha during the ceremony said.

He added that the charity means a lot to the Johansen family. “It means a lot to us, especially my mother who was born at this same hospital,” he said.

He expressed with heartfelt sincerity that the family plans to carry on this cherished tradition in the years to come.

Isata, one of the mothers, expressed her gratitude to Isha and the Johansen family for their generous gift presented on behalf of her baby daughter.

My baby daughter is gifted with baby diapers, shampoos, soap and cash,” the mother said. “I really appreciate this gift and it was unexpected.”

The management of the hospital appreciates madam Isha for this donation and I feel gratified seeing the smiling faces of the mothers who received the gifts,” Matron Kadiatu Keister-Kabba said. She added that the donation is now a tradition for the Johansen family.

Every year, she supports mothers and that gave birth from midnight till the dawn of the 25th December,” the Matron said.

Several nurses in attendance during the donation conveyed their enthusiasm for being part of such a meaningful and charitable act.
