In an inspiring initiative to strengthen ties with local communities, Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG), a prominent mining company in Sierra Leone, has successfully launched a community film project in Kamasondo Chiefdom and Lungi Lol, Port Loko district.

This engaging program aims to prioritize the interests of the local population while showcasing the company’s commitment to transparency and developmental projects across various sectors, including agriculture, education, health, and infrastructure.

The film project, which will expand to other operational communities in Tonkolili district, provides a unique opportunity for residents to gather and enjoy Sierra Leonean cinema.

The inaugural screenings featured locally produced films such as “Mr. Trouble,” starring the renowned Sara D Great, along with other popular titles like “Sara As Billah” and “Blood Diamond.” These films not only serve as entertainment but also represent a celebration of Sierra Leonean culture and talent.

Hundreds of local residents, including community leaders and excited children, filled the community centers for the screenings.

The atmosphere was festive, with snacks and refreshing ginger juice served, creating a family-friendly environment that encouraged interaction between the community members and the LRMG management team.

Community Manager Alhaji Turay and other staff members were present, embodying the company spirit of camaraderie and engagement.
