Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, a 21-year-old student at Eastern Technical University has been buried amidst tears on Tuesday in Kenema.

Jalloh was fatally stabbed in what appears to be a deadly confrontation over a love affair involving a married woman, Fatmata Sow, of New England Area, Nyandeyama Section, Kenema City.

Information gathered reveals that Fatmata Sow, a tailor at Big Market, was secretly involved with two men, Abdulrahman Jalloh, a married man with two wives and the owner of a pharmacy at Kenema Shopping Plaza, and the now-deceased Juldeh Jalloh, a second-year student at Eastern Technical University.

On the fateful night, Abdulrahman Jalloh had informed his wives that he would be attending a naming ceremony in Liberia and would be gone for a few days. However, his true destination was Fatmata’s home in New England, where he planned to spend time with her.

Unbeknownst to Abdulrahman, Juldeh was also on his way to visit Fatmata. Upon his arrival, Juldeh knocked on the door repeatedly, causing Abdulrahman to panic and hide, believing Fatmata’s overseas husband might have returned unexpectedly. Fatmata initially hesitated to open the door, leading to suspicions from Juldeh. When she finally opened it, Juldeh confronted her, demanding to know what had delayed her.

At that moment, Abdulrahman emerged from his hiding place, and a heated confrontation ensued between the two men. The altercation escalated, and Juldeh was fatally stabbed. His body was discovered near a motorbike in the New England area by an OSD officer, who promptly alerted the police.

Detective Police Constable (D/PC) 11702, Bao M.M., confirmed that the police received the report from the Operations Unit of the Kenema Division. Following the discovery, the police conducted a thorough search of the area, uncovering footprints that led them to Fatmata’s house. Both Fatmata Sow and Abdulrahman Jalloh were arrested and are currently assisting with the investigation.

The Regional Crime Officer East, Detective Assistant Superintendent of Police (D/ASP) Mohamed Feika, confirmed that the case has been registered and a team of investigators is working diligently to ensure justice is served.
