The National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) has commenced a crucial verification process as of March 20, 2024, aimed at confirming beneficiaries in Kono District for the Emergency Cash Transfer III program.

The verification is taking place at the Tankoro Native Administrative (TNA) Building in Koidu City, Kono District, and is anticipated to span several days to ensure comprehensive coverage.

A NaCSA staff member elaborated that the Emergency Cash Transfer III program is designed to provide financial assistance to extremely impoverished families across Sierra Leone.

Implemented by NaCSA across eleven districts on behalf of the government, the program receives funding from the World Bank and UNICEF. This verification process underscores NaCSA’s commitment to transparent and accountable distribution of resources to those most in need.
