Seven persons have charged to court for destroying a building belonging to late Sahr Johnny, worth millions of Leones in Newton near Freetown. The property and items looted was said to have been destroyed on the instruction of one Mohamed Bangura who is a police officer attached to the Transitional Organised Crime Unit at Hastings.
The accused who are now arrested and brought to the Waterloo Police Station are expected to stand before the court.
Although the Police officer, Bangura, who is also the mastermind of the crime has escaped, he is now being wanted by the Police
The property vandalised include an hectares of lands, a modern building and items later recovered from the thugs.
The date for their appearance in court is yet to be announced.
