Ishmeal Yillah Sankoh unemployed made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on a count of Murder contrary to law.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 14th April 2024 at Spurloop stone ground off Regent Road Lumley the western area in Freetown murdered Musa Momoh Vandy.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person no plea was taken.
Prosecution witness number four Sergeant 11640 John thalokota Conteh live at Immat drive Mambo Village attached at the scientific support unit Freetown West as the scene of crime officer responsible to visit scene and took photographs, collected physical evidence and exhibits for investigation and help court proceedings when needed.
He said he didn’t recognize the accused person in this matter, he recalled on the 14th April 2024 on the above date he was at the said office, when he received a call from Inspector Turay who informed him that someone was stabbed and was taken to the emergency hospital.
Upon hearing that, himself together with Inspector Turay went to the emergency hospital where they met the family members of the deceased, the family members identified the remains of the deceased inside the hospital ward.
The deceased was normally called Momoh Vandi, the witness said before the snapshot he observed that there was knife on the left side of his neck; the witness said he took the snapshot with his digital camera.
They took the deceased to the mortuary for postmortem examination, on the 17th April 2024 doctor Orwizz Koroma performed autopsy examination the witness said himself together with the deceased family and Sergeant 79107 Mohamed Kamara was present when the autopsy was conducted.
