Waterloo Police Division has arrested a 12-year-old boy after an inferno was reported at the Craig Bellamy Football Academy in Tombo, Western Rural District.
According to the police, the suspect was at the academy to roast cashew when the fire grew uncontrollably which made him ran away out of fear.
According to the press, the fire burnt some of the facilities in the academy before it was put out.
The academy was opened by former Liverpool and Welsh Striker, Craig Bellamy in 2006. One of its graduates is Leone Stars striker, Mustapha Bundu.
However, the academy was closed in 2016 due to mismanagement and the 2015 Ebola epidemic.
The facility now resembled a ghost town.
The Academy had long been abandoned in 2016 and is now in disrepute.
