The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) has dismissed Sergeant 14483 Musa Sidikie Swarray, an officer attached to the Mile 91 Division under the Operational Support Division (OSD), after he was found guilty of unlawful possession of illegal drugs, including Kush, and other disciplinary offences.

According to an official memorandum from the Director of Professional Standards at Police Headquarters, Hastings, the disciplinary action followed a formal hearing conducted under the Police Discipline Regulations of 2001. The case, registered as CDIID CR/NO: D-169-11-2025, centered on charges of improper practice and conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline.

The report confirmed that Sergeant Swarray faced four countsranging from improper practice and failure to comply with standing orders to acts contrary to police discipline. After a detailed review by the presiding officer, the disciplinary court found him guilty on all counts.

By the authority delegated to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the Director of Professional Standards upheld the decision, ordering Swarray’s immediate dismissal from the force.

“The defaulter is guilty on all four counts and is therefore dismissed from the Sierra Leone Police with immediate effect,” the memorandum stated.

The order further instructed the Administrative Officer at Mile 91 Division to retrieve all police-issued items, including Swarray’s identification card and badges of authority, while the Human Resources Department has been directed to update personnel records to reflect the dismissal.
