The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. William Fayia Sellu, is personally leading a major operation to remove illegal structures erected on public rights-of-way at Tengbeh Town.
The enforcement action is part of ongoing nationwide efforts by the Sierra Leone Police, in collaboration with partner institutions, to restore order, enhance public safety, and ensure unobstructed movement along major roads and public spaces.

Speaking live from the scene, IGP Fayia stressed the importance of maintaining lawful use of public land. He warned residents against unauthorised encroachment, emphasizing that the police will continue to act firmly against any violations that impede public access or compromise safety.
The operation reflects the government’s broader commitment to urban order and the protection of citizens’ rights to safe and accessible public spaces, signaling a sustained crackdown on illegal constructions across the country.
