The Sierra Leone Police reportedly arrested two women on Friday, September 12, 2025, in Waterloo for allegedly engaging in a same-sex marriage ceremony.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 4:00 PM in the New London, Mango Farm community, where residents were reportedly shocked to witness the ceremony.

The women have been identified as Massah Mansaray and Jannet, with Jannet reportedly assuming the role traditionally associated with a man.
