After the sudden demise of Police Constable 21034 Sahr Mosery, attacked the Operation Support Division (OSD), of the Motema Police Division, Police at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Motema Police Divisional headquarters in Nimikoro chiefdom Kono District are currently investigating the incident.

According to the report, the deceased Police Constable 21034 Sahr Mosery, allegedly shot himself dead on Monday 14th, October 2024.

The information and media officer Moterma police division Thompson Peter Ndapi in his statement said, on Monday 14th October 2024, between the hours of 10:30 pm and 10:45 pm, information was received by sergeant 9424 Alie ATS officer commanding Tombodu police post from sub- inspector Turay M. attached to the Motema police division that one PC 21034 Sahr Mosery formerly attached to the operation Support Division (OSD) at the aforesaid police division had allegedly shot himself dead with his official riffle.

He continued that upon receipt of the said information, personnel at the Motema police division, headed by sub-inspector Turay M., onboarded a police vehicle with registration number SLP 126 and visited the crime scene in Bumpeh Town Nimikoro chiefdom Kono District.

Meanwhile, police investigations revealed that on the above mentioned fateful date at around 8:pm, the deceased visited his girlfriend, Fanta Tarawalie, in Bumpeh Town Nimikoro chiefdom Kono District. After friendly discussions, the deceased Sahr Mosery decided to keep his rifle in a safe place and in not too distant time the girlfriend maintained that she heard explosion of a gun and when she entered in her room where she left her boyfriend the deceased, she noticed with dismay that it was her boyfriend Sahr Mosery who had shot himself to death on his head.

According to the girlfriend, she then raised the alarm, and both family members of the deceased and his girlfriend, including police officers came to the crime scene and later conveyed the remains of the deceased to the Koidu Government Hospital mortuary for preservation.

Meanwhile, statements have been obtained from Chief Kai Morsay’s deceased father, Alhaji Yusuf Mansaray, including Fanta Tarawalie, the deceased girlfriend.Police investigations into the matter continues.
