The All Political Parties Association of Sierra Leone (APPA-SL) has condemned “the unlawful” killing of Assistant Police Superintendent (ASP), Mathew Gbanya.
The Association also called on the government to fully investigate the matter and apply the law on perpetrators.
They said that they are deeply concerned about the tragic death of the senior police officer in the northern city of Makeni on Sunday evening.
“APPA-SL calls on the government to undertake full investigation into this act,” they stated.
The Association also condemned the proliferation of the use of hate speech, incitement, videos and images on social media especially those aimed at security personnel.
“As a country, it is imperative that we work together to strengthen the democratic stability to enhance national development,” the APPA-SL said.
