The newly elected mayor of Port Loko City, Alieu Badara Tarawallie has commended the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) of Port Loko District for organizing a successful inter-secondary school volleyball and football competition.

This development took place on 31 October, 2023 at the pastoral center playing ground during the climax of the competition where he was invited as a guest of honor.

“I give very sincere thanks and appreciation to MBSSE for organizing such a credible and laudable inter-secondary school competition,” the first gentleman of the city proclaimed.

He continued by adding “for years back this is the most peaceful and very successful school league I have ever witnessed.”

He concluded by thanking all the school authorities and pupils who participated for upholding the peace throughout the competition, asserting that indeed discipline has been brought back to the schools.

Alieu Badara Tarawallie was elected as mayor of Port Loko City on the 24th June, 2023 election under the ticket of the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC). He was sworn into office on the 27th October, 2023 in a recent occasion held at the Port Loko District Council. This has served as one of his first appearances to the Public since installation.
