Hon. Sidie Mohamed Tunis has announced a new initiative to provide monthly stipends for SLPP Imams starting in September.
During a Friday prayer session at the SLPP headquarters, Hon. Sidie Mohamed Tunis emphasized party unity and the need to promote President Julius Maada Bio’s achievements.
Hon. Tunis announced that starting in September, he will provide monthly stipends to SLPP-affiliated Imams to support community outreach.
He expressed concern that some political appointees are focusing on personal ambitions instead of promoting the administration’s progress.
An anonymous SLPP supporter agreed, stressing the importance of maintaining party unity and focusing on the President’s achievements as the party anticipates future leadership transitions.

I am sure SLPP is not being generous and paying for this out of party coffers, tax payers are paying for it, which should make it illegal because it is not allocated for in the budget. Money will just be taken/stolen and handed out to the imams and some of that cash will be going in the pockets of government officials. If SLPP/Bio wants to buy imams, they need to pay for it out of their pockets.

I believe this a way of dividing our religious (islam). Let these imams fear Allah. Let them know there will be nor SLPP on the day of judgment day. Let them practice islam and give good advice to their political party. And stop them when their are doing bad.

I think he (Sidie Mohamed Tunis) is doing so out of his own salary and NOT the Consolidated Revenue Fund..which is not really bad..
This is another word of demonstrating the divisional ambition of the SLPP. Meaning, these Imams would only be answerable to the source of their stipends or the one to whose mandate they’re called (Allah) ?
This is a fraudulent political propaganda and malapropism.
I think there should also be an SLPP Pastors.
It’ll be admirable to do something for the SLPP Pastors as well.
