Six people have tragically died in the Poro Bush along the Rogbanch-Masuba axis in Makeni, according to a statement by Sergeant John Abass Kamara, Media Officer for the North-East Region, speaking on behalf of Regional Commander AIG Edward Samadia.
Among the deceased, two victims were secretly buried at separate locations. Moses was interred at Rogboya Cemetery, and Alimamy Kamara was laid to rest at Kabala Road Cemetery, both in Makeni. Notably, Alimamy Kamara was buried without the knowledge of his family or the police.
Police visited the crime scene and arrested eleven individuals, including a woman named Fatmata, who is accused of selling drugs to the deceased. The remains of the other four victims have been taken to the Makeni Government Hospital mortuary for postmortem examinations.
The eleven suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with the ongoing investigation.
Additionally, Assistant Commissioner Brima Kamara clarified the circumstances surrounding the death of 12-year-old Jebbeh Sovula. Contrary to earlier reports, investigations revealed that she was not gang-raped and stabbed, but rather shot by a hunter in Benduma, Kenema.
Eight hunters have been arrested in connection with this case. Dr. Simeon Owizz Koroma conducted the postmortem, confirming that Jebbeh Sovula died from gunshot wounds.

You people want to avoid your culture and copy the western world, why they are there practicing their own culture (society). That is why we are surfing in the hands of the white people. If u are not a member just keep quiet about it, even the government respect culture. U and living fake life as if everything is ok.
Tradition is tradition and nothing can change it not even after your generation, I don’t think if you really study or learned about culture and tradition.
Respect other’s people privatesy.
I wish all those making their views about the incident can also do some retrospective assessments about other people who have been killed in the country.
Secondly, are we missing the point that whatever happens in the poro bush stays there?
Double standards are becoming unbearable
U people who are saying all such of tins about culture are lacking exposures, hotels and clubhouses in Europe and America, ladies are dancing nakedly, in Sierra Leone carnivals ladies dance halfnaked, u like to see your son or daughter hal-fnaked and u will be there saying this is modern world , In the name of coping the white man culture so if u are not a member just keep quiet, even the government respect culture he came from tradition and culture background. Is your parents are white people , copy copy African 🏃🏃🏃
I see fools commenting nonsense, was culture meant to kill and destroy lives, you people are demons that is why you are supporting nonsense culture, demonic blood sucking vampires and beasts, you will dearly pay for their souls, after they have done sacrificing great souls and destiny, and you are here comparing white man culture.
Their culture is technology and not killing.
Let the law take it course rightfully…
