The Sierra Leone DJs Union (SLDU) has issued a statement regarding an incident that occurred during a recent primary School sports meet. According to the press release, an unregistered DJ played a song that was deemed inappropriate for the event’s atmosphere.
The SLDU clarified that this individual was not a representative of the union, and their actions do not reflect the values and standards upheld by the organization.
The statement read. “We would like to clarify that this individual was not a representative of our union, and their actions do not reflect the values and standards that we uphold.”
The union emphasized its commitment to promoting inclusivity, respect, and professionalism in all activities. “We strongly condemn any behavior that goes against these values, and we do not tolerate any actions that bring disrepute to our organization,” the statement continued.
In response to the incident, the SLDU is implementing measures to prevent future occurrences and maintain a positive and supportive environment at all events. The union reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the highest standards of conduct and professionalism in their work.
“We understand the importance of maintaining a positive and supportive environment at all events, and we are taking steps to ensure that such incidents do not happen again in the future. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of conduct and professionalism when doing our job in any event or activities,” the union stated.
